The Villa Park Boxing Club originally named UTAG (United Together Against Gangs) was founded in 1995 by Carol Salas. The non-for-profit organization was developed as a youth-outreach program to help kids off the streets and out of gangs.
In the last 10 years the club has trained and coached Golden Glove contenders, as well as Silver Glove, Junior Olympic and State of Illinois novice champions.
